You’ll love this date night idea like a love song.
Benny Blanco savors every moment he gets to spend with girlfriend Selena Gomez, but it's the earliest hours of the day that he finds the most special.
"I'm a real morning person," Benny told People in an interview published Nov. 11. "It's my favorite time to spend with Sel, because we both wake up really early. It's like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up."
He continued, "I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life."
While the music producer enjoys simple moments with the "Love You Like a Love Song" singer, when it comes to date nights, they tend to think outside of the box—and go above and beyond.
"I go all out for every date. We go all out for each other," Benny said. "One time Sel was like, 'Oh, I want to take you on a date.' We drove somewhere, and she had rented out a whole botanical garden for me."
The 36-year-old continued, "She also likes something so simple. For Valentine's Day, I got her Taco Bell, I made her movie-theater nachos, I found her favorite pickles from Texas and I deep-fried them for her. Then [I had] all her candies and Hot Cheetos."
The couple also gets creative when it comes to gift giving, with the "Eastside" hitmaker revealing a thoughtful present that Selena, 32, got for him when things first got serious between them.
"The first time me and Sel were really going to be long distance for a while, she made a bear that when I pressed its hand, it said, 'I miss you so much. You're going to be okay. I'll see you when I get back,'" Benny shared. "She's very good at gifting. She does the same thing as me: Most of our gifts, we make them for each other."
Benny's sweet confessions about his relationship with the Only Murders in the Building star followed his recent show of support for the multihyphenate performer when he attended her Rare Impact Fund Benefit Oct. 24.
The duo was all smiles as they packed on the PDA at the charity event, and it's exactly that level of comfort with life in the spotlight that Selena appreciates in her partner.
“I think it's just really important to meet someone that respects you," she told Zane Lowe in February. “And I think it's really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in.”
“I'd have to say overall it's the safest that I feel," Selena added. "It's been really lovely and I've only grown through it, so it's awesome."
